The Japanese ANA Group recorded significant increases in sales and profits in the first nine months of its 2024/2025 financial year and revised its annual forecast upwards. Cumulative sales amounted to the equivalent of 10,33 billion euros, while the company achieved a net result of 812,66 million euros. In particular, strong demand on international routes and growing passenger numbers in the domestic business contributed to this result.

ANA carried almost six million passengers on international routes, an increase of twelve percent compared to the same period last year. The connections to North America and Europe in particular recorded high occupancy rates. New routes, including Tokyo-Milan and the resumption of Tokyo-Perth, also contributed to growth. The airline was also able to further consolidate its market position in the domestic business. In total, ANA carried 33,3 million passengers within Japan, an increase of 7,2 percent.

The cargo business benefited from increased demand from Asia and China to North America, particularly from the automotive sector. In addition, a new cargo hall was opened at Narita Airport to increase handling capacity. The low-cost airline Peach recorded strong growth on international routes, while AirJapan, the group's new brand, continued to expand its route network.

ANA is further raising its forecast for the entire 2024/2025 financial year. Sales are now expected to reach around 13,68 billion euros and net profit to reach 849 million euros. In addition to strong passenger demand, compensation payments in connection with aircraft, which were higher than expected, also contributed to the positive development.
