The largest airport in Germany, Frankfurt am Main, counted a total of 2021 travelers in April 983.839. In direct comparison with the same month last year, this corresponds to an increase of 423,1 percent, but this is not meaningful due to the lockdown. The decrease compared to April 2019 is 83,7 percent.

The freight volume increased again in April 2021. An increase of 42,7 percent to 201.661 tons was recorded. Compared to April 2021, this value corresponds to a growth of 13,1 percent. All Fraport Group's airports worldwide recorded high growth rates in April 2021 - for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis. At some airports the number of passengers rose by several hundred percent, albeit due to the sharp reduction in air traffic in April 2020. However, the airports in Fraport's international portfolio continued to record noticeable decreases in traffic compared to the pre-pandemic in April 2019.

The Slovenian Airport Ljubljana (LJU) served 2021 passengers in April 8.751. Combined traffic at Brazil's Fortaleza (FOR) and Porto Alegre (POA) airports rose to 291.990 passengers, while Peru's Lima Airport (LIM) recorded 544.152 passengers in the month under review.

At the 14 Greek regional airports, traffic rose to 2021 passengers in April 162.462. A total of 26.993 passengers were registered at the Twin Star airports Burgas (BOJ) and Varna (VAR) on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. At Antalya Airport (AYT) on the Turkish Riviera, traffic rose to 598.187 passengers. In Russia, around 1,2 million passengers were received at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, while more than 2021 million passengers traveled via Xi'an Airport (XIY) in China in April 3,7.
