Atlantic Airways absorbs Vagar-Stewart International

Atlantic Airways plans to start non-stop flights between Vagar and New York in August 2023. In contrast to the original plans, they want to head for Stewart International Airport in the USA.

Atlantic Airways plans to connect the Faroe Islands with New York from the end of August 2023. Initially, it was intended that Newark Airport should be headed for. However, the allocation of take-off and landing rights was unsuccessful, so the decision was made to use Stewart International Airport. In addition to the low-cost airline Play, they are the second European carrier to fly to this airport.
