Austrian Airlines will finally withdraw from the decentralized traffic from the federal state airports. As reported: The Innsbruck-Frankfurt route will be discontinued and Graz-Düsseldorf will be taken over by sister company Eurowings.

The time of the change of operator in Styria has changed since last report on this subject moved backwards. This is now to be completed on January 10, 2022. It is planned that Eurowings will fly up to three times a week between Graz and Düsseldorf from this date. The Graz-Stuttgart and Linz-Düsseldorf routes, which have also been taken over by the AUA, are to be operated up to five times a week. From summer 2022, Eurowings will be on the move again more frequently on all three connections and will then be going to Stuttgart and Düsseldorf twice a day, Monday to Friday.

Austrian Airlines will permanently take over the Hanover route from Vienna from Eurowings. This route should be operated up to twice a day. In the past, the company was already present in the German trade fair city, but it was handed over to Eurowings and this step is now being reversed.
