After only a short time in the route network, the direct connection to Cancun, Mexico, will be topped up with an additional weekly flight.

From January 25, 2022, in addition to the previous connections on Thursday and Sunday, the home carrier will also be flying to sunny Mexico on Tuesdays as part of the winter flight schedule. Due to the high demand during the Christmas holidays between December 19 and January 9, the Cancun offer had already been increased to ten instead of seven round trips. The newest destination in the Austrian route network is served by a Boeing 777 and flies up to 306 passengers directly from Vienna to the Caribbean coast of Mexico. AUA customers can choose between the booking classes Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class.
