Wiener Linien, Austria's largest municipal transport company, is getting a new head of driving operations in Susanne Svejda, who previously worked for Austrian Airlines. The manager will take up her new post on August 1, 2023.

“I am delighted that in Susanne Svejda we have been able to gain a top manager for the redesign and optimization of our operations. She will bring her many years of experience in the mobility industry and her comprehensive know-how in crisis management to bear perfectly in order to stabilize our train operations and make them fit for the future," explains Wiener Linien Managing Director Alexandra Reinagl, who will be in charge of the area on an interim basis until the start of Svejda.

In autumn 2022, the global shortage on the labor market also hit Wiener Linien hard. Managing director Alexandra Reinagl reacted with a 5-point program and thus, among other things, stabilized the intervals again. Further measures in the area of training and working conditions are being implemented. A reorganization of the operating area should now also ensure more clout.
