Since September 1, 2021, Austrian Airlines has again had a new menu in the paid catering area. Apparently the last advertised meat loaf for six euros was not in great demand because the product is no longer available.

In the spring, Austrian Airlines has one on short and medium-haul routes Paid catering offer introduced. This is known internally as the “Austrian Melangerie”. With the resumption of flight operations in the previous year, under the guise of "Corona", the offer in economy class was reduced to tea, coffee and water. The order menus were also suspended and finally abolished with the switch to the buy-on-board concept

Some of the dishes that Austrian Airlines offers on board are freshly prepared and loaded into the machines. Others are frozen goods from Do & Co, which appears here as "Henry for Austrian". The economic risk of onboard sales is not borne by the airline or the Austrian catering company, but by the German Retail in Motion GmbH. This is the official contractual partner of those passengers who buy food and / or drinks on board.

What remains unchanged is that Austrian Airlines will continue to serve a cup of free water on request. Otherwise the menu was that available for download under this link is revised and at the same time the number of products has been reduced a little. the 6 euro meat loaf rolls are no longer available.
