The airline Austrian Airlines separated without notice from Christina Kohl, who is running for the list of former Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache in 17th position. The company justified this step by stating that the flight attendant allegedly made anti-Semitic remarks at a demonstration.

“An employee of Austrian Airlines made public anti-Semitic statements as part of her political commitment. Our very clear statement is as follows: We are an international company that overcomes borders within the scope of its business purpose. Here, however, we have to draw a very clear line. This behavior is inexcusable and statements of this kind are in no way compatible with our company values. We have therefore taken appropriate measures to ensure that something like this does not happen again, ”reads this cover letter from the HR department. The company confirmed that the lady is no longer an employee of the company.

On the part of Heinz-Christian Strache's list, it is unsurprisingly indignant about the approach taken by Austrian Airlines. “We have come a long way in our country when a young flight attendant is dismissed by the AUA without notice just because she is running for our citizens' movement in the Vienna elections and she is being accused of untenable conditions. This is a hitherto unique terror of convictions and represents a new quality in the political debate, ”said Christian Höbart, who acts as General Secretary for Strache. "Just because an opinionated, critical, young woman criticizes the corona measures as excessive, demands the resignation of Kurz, criticizes the left-wing extremist Antifa and Soros and is skeptical of global big capitalism, she is far from being a corona denier or anti-Semite."

It is currently not known whether the politician and flight attendants, who have been dismissed without notice, will go to the labor court.
