Austrian Airlines is strengthening its fleet in the 2024 winter flight schedule with a third ATR 72 from Braathens Regional Airlines.

The decision follows limited demand on some regional routes after the pandemic. The additional turboprop aircraft will operate the connection between Linz and Frankfurt from October 28, 2024. The airline had previously wet-leased two ATR 72s from Braathens in order to be able to maintain the fleet. These two aircraft are stationed in Klagenfurt and Kosice respectively on behalf of Austrian Airlines.
