The Belgian Lufthansa subsidiary Brussels Airlines posted a negative adjusted EBIT of 70 million euros in the first quarter of the current year. Sales fell by 76 percent to 55 million euros. Operating costs were reduced by 59 percent to 130 million euros. The carrier emphasizes that the “Reboot Plus” savings program should bear fruit.
The carrier carried around 192.000 travelers in the first three months of the current year. In direct comparison with the same period last year, this corresponds to a decrease of 88 percent. 1.791 flights were carried out - 87 percent fewer than in the same period of the previous year. The load factor fell by 15,3 percentage points to 58,2 percent.
