After Easyjet and Eurowings, the IAG low-cost offshoot Vueling is now also copying the hand luggage regulations of Ryanair and Wizz Air. With effect from November 23, 2021, only a small bag with the maximum dimensions of 40x20x30 centimeters is allowed in the basic tariff.

If you also want to take a piece of hand luggage in IATA standard format with you, you have to buy an option that is subject to a fee. The prices are based on supply and demand and are therefore flexible. When reserving seats in the “Space One” and “Space Plus” zones, a small bag and, for example, a trolley are included.

The tariff classes Optima, Family, Time Flex and with certain status cards allow you to take a small and a large piece of hand luggage with you. According to Vueling, people who have inventory bookings will not be affected by the changeover. These should only apply to new bookings since the change was announced.
