On Norse slots: Air Peace wants to take up Lagos-London (Gatwick).

Nigeria-based airline Air Peace plans to launch a non-stop service between Lagos and London Gatwick. However, there is a problem: the carrier does not yet have any slots at the British airport. Now they are hoping for a cooperation with Norse Altantic UK.

According to a government statement, Nigeria's Transport Minister Festus Keyamo is trying to intervene with the British government for this route. Since there are currently no suitable take-off and landing rights available, Air Peace is now hoping to be able to rent these as part of a cooperation with Norse Atlantic UK.

However, this assumes that the UK branch of Norse Atlantic Airways does not need the required slot pairs itself. In order not to lose this, cooperation with Air Peace would be a good opportunity. Discussions are currently underway, but no decision has been made yet. Air Peace obviously failed to apply to the regulator in a timely manner for the required take-off and landing rights.
