Zurich-Kloten Airport counted 2020 passengers in August 725.447. The value is 76,7 percent below the same month last year. The number of flight movements was reduced by 57 percent and is communicated by the airport with 10.852 take-offs and landings.

The number of local passengers fell in August 2020 by 72,3 percent to 599.157 passengers. The share of transfer passengers was 16,8 percent (-13,6 percentage points compared to the previous year) and the total number fell by 87,2 percent to 121.464 transfer passengers

On average there were 94,4 passengers on board. In direct comparison with August 2020, this means a decrease of 31,6 percent. The load factor fell by 25 percentage points to 58,5 percent. In the freight sector, Zurich recorded a minus of 40,5 percent and counted 21.098 tons of air freight.
