In Australia, Virgin Australia is waiting for the delivery of 25 Boeing 737-Max-10s. Due to the delays, it is not expected that the first unit can be handed over before mid-2023. Boeing has no other fixed orders on this continent.
According to CASA, Fiji Airways and Singapore Airlines (Silk Air) are now allowed to fly to Australia with Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft. Since the offers are currently heavily thinned out or paused, the Max will remain a rather rare guest on the southern continent.
