From July 6th, unvaccinated travelers will be able to enter Australia without a special permit. All arrivals are also not required to fill out the entry form.
This means that entry is possible again without corona-related restrictions. Accordingly, holidaymakers no longer have to prove whether they have been vaccinated upon entry, nor does it have to be presented with a vaccination certificate when leaving the country. In addition, as of July 6, the obligation to fill out the Digital Passenger Declaration for all arrivals by air and the Maritime Travel Declaration for arrivals by ship will no longer apply. According to the information currently available, anyone who is not or not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 does not have to submit a negative test for the virus. However, the Australian Ministry of the Interior points out that some airlines may have different conditions of carriage and may request tests or proof of vaccination from passengers, as Check24 reports.
The new entry regulations will also abolish the exemption that unvaccinated people currently have to apply for to enter Australia. On flights to Australia, however, it is still mandatory to wear mouth and nose protection, and masks must also be worn on domestic flights. With the new regulation, the last corona-related entry restrictions for the red continent are no longer applicable.
