The four Airbus A320neos that Austrian Airlines will take delivery of from summer 2022 will be equipped with engines from . The existing A320ceo fleet has installed engines from competitor CFM International.

Austrian Airlines has opted for Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines for the newcomers. The four A320neos intended for the Austrian airline will be equipped with these for the time being.

A company spokeswoman told Aviation.Direct on request: "Yes, the machines will be equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines". Between August 2022 and spring 2022, Austrian Airlines will fleet four A320neo. These come from an existing order from the parent company Lufthansa and will replace older models of the A320 family.
