A few weeks ago, Austrian Airlines launched the first two Airbus A320neo medium-haul jets, OE-LZN and OE-LZO. The two machines have now completed 1.233 flight hours together.

For the time being, the Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary will receive four examples of this type. Two are already in active scheduled service and the other two are expected for spring and early summer 2023. Austrian Airlines' first commercial A320neo flight led to London Heathrow in October 2022.

In the meantime, the OE-LZN and the OE-LZO have already been deployed on around 800 flights. The two jets completed more than 1.200 flight hours and had over 94.000 passengers on board. The two "Neos" are mainly used from Vienna to London Heathrow, Berlin, Amsterdam, Frankfurt am Main and Cairo.

The other two aircraft of this type are currently in final assembly in Toulouse, France. Austrian Airlines expects to take over this in the spring or early summer of 2023. With the addition of the fourth A320neo, the expansion of the short- and medium-haul fleet will be completed – at least for the time being.
