The traditional ORF light of peace landed at Vienna International Airport on Saturday. Austrian Airlines carried it from Tel Aviv to Austria under flight number OS860. It has been flown in year after year for 35 years.

The campaign was launched in 1986 on the initiative of the ORF regional studio in Upper Austria and has been supported by Austrian Airlines since the very beginning. "Every year the Austrian team pulls out all the stops to enable the transport under the strictest security requirements and to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We are pleased that the flight of the ORF light of peace has now become a tradition and, as a red-white-red airline, we are happy to take on this task every year, ”said Austrian Airlines COO Francesco Sciortino.

The “ORF Peace Light from Bethlehem” then made its way to the ORF regional studio in Linz. Austrian Airlines will transport it from Austria to New York and Montreal.
