Austrian Airlines denies adding additional A320ceo to fleet

Rumors have been circulating for a few days that Austrian Airlines will soon take over two Airbus A320s from the Eurowings Germany fleet. Even the registrations are circulating in various forums. However, the AUA denies this.

The Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary recently took delivery of the first Airbus A320neo. A second unit is to be flown in this year. Two more machines of this type have been announced for spring 2022. In addition, rumors have surfaced that AUA is to take over two Airbus A320ceo from its sister company Eurowings Germany.

Specifically, it should be about the machines with the current registrations D-AIZS and D-AIZT. According to Austrian Airlines, what has already been celebrated in some aviation forums is not true.

A spokeswoman for Austrian Airlines told Aviation.Direct on this subject: "We cannot confirm such a takeover". This means that the four brand-new Airbus A320neo will remain in service.

As always, the speaker's answer is perfectly chosen, that nothing is confirmed, but nothing is ruled out either. If you can't confirm it, then one reason for that would be that the management simply isn't allowed to trumpet it to the outside at the moment.

As for the A380, spokespeople have also said there are no plans to bring it back. A short time later, the message comes in the newsroom that the A380 will be reactivated. The statement of the spokesman was probably still correct, because there were certainly no finalized plans at the time...

In the end, everything is always denied first and then rumors come true. In the end, this will come true.
