Due to the fact that Israel had to relax the entry regulations - at least for its own residents - Austrian Airlines has been flying between Vienna and Tel Aviv again since Monday. For the time being, demand-oriented “up to once a day” is to be flown.

The government of Israel had limited the number of daily entries to Ben Gurion Airport to 3.000 people per day. This regulation was made by tipped a court as not to reconcile with fundamental rights. However, with a few exceptions, only residents and citizens of Israel are still allowed to enter.

Since the Austrian federal government has introduced a landing ban for passenger flights that have taken off in the United Kingdom, has canceled, the AUA has been serving London Heathrow-Vienna again since Monday. The Lufthansa subsidiary previously flew with passengers to the metropolis on the Thames, but returned to Vienna without passengers due to the landing ban. Starting today, London is back on offer in both directions with up to two daily flights.
