From October 24, 2021, Austrian Airlines will fly from Vienna to Cancun twice a week. This route was last offered in 2006. The winter flight schedule for 2021/22 should return to Mauritius three times a week. In the future, the destination Malé will be served three times a week.

Cape Town will also be included in the program again with two flights a week. The Austrian airline uses a long-haul Boeing 777 aircraft to all four destinations.

“People are longing for vacation, long-distance travel and the sea. That is why we will focus on attractive long-haul destinations in the upcoming winter flight schedule in order to satisfy our passengers' desire to travel. I am confident that by then so many people around the world will be vaccinated that travel will be possible again without severe restrictions, ”said Chief Commercial Officer Michael Trestl.
