Holders of the Chinese lounge access card Dragonpass have had more choice at Vienna-Schwechat Airport for a few weeks now, because Austrian Airlines accepts them for access to the business lounges in Terminal 3.

Dragonpass previously cooperated with the lounges operated by Flughafen Wien AG. However, only the Sky Lounge in the Schengen area of Terminal 3 has been in operation for a long time. This is set to change at the end of this month with the reopening of Terminal 2 and gate areas B, C and D.

Dragonpass is a competitor to Priority Pass and offers access to exclusive airport waiting areas regardless of the airline booked. The Chinese product is considered to be cheaper, but has fewer lounges under contract from a global perspective. In Vienna, holders of this product can now also use the Austrian Airlines business lounges (Schengen and non-Schengen).

"With the Dragon Pass, our guests have been able to use our lounge since the beginning of the year," confirms an AUA spokesman to Aviation.Direct. Irrespective of this, the carrier offers its own economy class passengers without status access for a fee of 35 euros. For example, this optional product can be purchased during web check-in.
