On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Austro Control offers interested persons the opportunity to gain a detailed insight into the profession of air traffic controller.

The recruiting day, which takes place in the Austro Control visitor center in Vienna, enables participants to get to know the various areas of air traffic control. Tours through the 360° tower simulator offer practical insights into the training. Air traffic controllers provide personal information about their tasks, the selection process and the three-year training, which comes with a high salary and responsible tasks.

In addition to virtual tours and an introduction to the radar workplaces, questions about the requirements and salary are also answered. Austro Control is looking for young people with a high school diploma who are stress-resistant, can work in a team and have good spatial imagination. Applications are possible at any time, and a multi-stage selection process must be completed.
