The Austrian air traffic control system Austro Control (ACG) is again looking for young pilots this year. Due to the corona pandemic, the application day will be held online this year.

On Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, interested parties can obtain virtual information about the profession between 17:00 p.m. and 19:00 p.m. and apply immediately if they are interested. “An air traffic controller is a great and fascinating job that has a lot to offer - a high level of responsibility, a varied job and also a good work-life balance. We want to get more women excited about it. Hence my appeal to all high school graduates who are looking for a special challenge: take part in the online recruiting day, ask questions, obtain comprehensive information and then apply straight away as an air traffic controller! ”Says Austro Control Managing Director Valerie Hackl

Anyone who wants to deal more intensively with the job of an air traffic controller will have the opportunity to do so from the end of May at Austro Control's online workshops. The focus is on topics such as the selection process, training or everyday working life. Registration is now available at www.austrocontrol.at. possible.

We are looking for high school graduates who have a good spatial imagination, are resilient and want to face the challenges of selective training. The prerequisite for admission is the passing of a multi-stage au-selection process with a final assessment center and a positive medical check-up by the aviation physician. The training lasts around three years and takes place in the Austro Control training center in Vienna.
