Volotea announces comeback
From June 16, 2020, the Spanish Volotea will take to the skies again. The factory shuttle operated by the carrier on behalf of Airbus is also celebrating its comeback. From June 16, 2020, Volotea's Boeing 717 and A319 will be back in the air. The Spanish low-cost airline Volotea has announced its comeback in European scheduled services. In total, it plans to fly to 40 destinations in Europe, primarily in France, Spain, Italy and Greece. The Airbus factory shuttle between Hamburg-Finkenwerder and Toulouse is also scheduled to resume on June 16, 2020. After that, the airline will gradually add 15 destinations in France, the same number in Spain, eight new routes in Italy and two holiday destinations in Greece to its flight schedule. "Our goal is to give our customers more opportunities to discover domestic destinations this summer," the statement said. "We are very pleased to share the good news of many additional domestic routes. Now that the decisions are becoming clearer and customers are regaining confidence in safe and healthy travel this summer, we know that most of our customers want to travel more, especially in domestic markets. That is why we have adapted our network by significantly expanding all our domestic connections in Spain, France, Italy and Greece," said Carlos Muñoz, CEO of Volotea.
