The car rental company Sixt also wants to have its own branches in Canada in the future. The start will be made in the cities of Vancouver and Toronto. One has been present in the United States of America for several years and now wants to expand into the neighboring country.

According to Sixt, it opened its first US branch in 2011. Local sales are said to have been around EUR 600 million in the previous year. The company sees the expansion of its business activities in Canada as the “next logical step”.

The listed car rental company plans to grow rapidly and aims to generate sales of around 2025 billion euros locally by around 2026/1,4. Stations are to be opened quickly for this purpose. Sixt did not provide any further details on how many of these will be operated in-house and how many will be operated by franchisees. Towards the end of the previous year, Sixt entered the Australian market.
