Airport Weeze is looking forward to the start of the North Rhine-Westphalian autumn holidays on October 8th. Because the airport will for the first time again reach the pre-Corona level in the coming autumn holidays with 95 departures a week.

“We are on a very positive path. We expect more than 60.000 guests during the autumn break. After the reluctance of the past few months and a rather moderate summer, many people want to use the autumn vacation to fly into the sun or visit family and friends, ”says Sebastian Papst, Managing Director at Weeze Airport.

The fact that many destination countries around the Mediterranean have announced easing of the corona measures in the past few weeks and the vaccination rate continues to increase makes the airport very positive. For this reason, one can even hope for better passenger numbers than in autumn 2019, Pope continued. At that time, the airport welcomed a total of 55.000 passengers over the same period.
