Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport anticipates that significantly more passengers will use the airport at the start of the autumn holidays in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. At the same time it is requested that the travelers should appear as early as possible.

According to Stuttgart Airport, destinations in the Mediterranean region, such as Palma de Mallorca and Antalya, or the Canary Islands are currently in high demand. City destinations such as Amsterdam, Istanbul, Berlin or Hamburg are also well booked.

Careful travel preparation is still essential. All necessary travel documents such as passport or ID and proof of vaccination, test or recovery should always be at hand. Because checking the necessary documents currently requires additional time, passengers should be at the airport at least two hours before departure. Passengers of the airlines Eurowings and Condor can use their evening check-in (18 p.m. - 20 p.m.) and then go straight to the security check on the day of departure.

Especially at the beginning of the holiday, there may be longer waiting times at check-in or at the security controls during rush hour, such as early in the morning and in the afternoon. This also applies to entry or baggage claim on return. Check-in is currently not possible in Terminal 3, but the security check for passengers can be used without restrictions. If you need a corona test before or after your trip, you can get it in the EcoCare test center in Terminal 1 on the gallery level.
