The German ACMI and charter specialist Avanti Air will say goodbye to the operation of jets. In the future, three DHC Dash 8-400 will be operated. The first machine should be taken over this week.

Managing Director Stefan Kissinger confirmed to Aviation Direct that Avanti Air will be in the air with three Dash 8-400s in the future. The first machine will have the registration D-AASH and will be repainted before its first commercial use. Avanti Air will also upgrade the cabin. The commercial "Dash maiden flight" is scheduled to take place in January 2022. The manager did not want to comment on the origin of the machines.

Avanti Air has been successful in the air for years with the ATR42 / 72 turboprop models. Later it was switched to a Fokker 100. The regional jets, which are now getting on in years, have now left the fleet again. In the very near future you will be a pure turboprop operator again, this time with the DHC Dash 8-400.
