The German state of Baden-Württemberg is rushing ahead and in the future will exempt people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 from the obligation to test and quarantine. According to a declaration by Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens), this should apply to entries from all “risk areas”.
The state of Baden-Württemberg is thus following the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute. It is of the opinion that segregation of vaccinated people is not necessary. These would pose a lower risk than those who tested negative. The RKI stipulated that the vaccination protection is to be regarded as complete if the last necessary dose was 14 days ago.
Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Health Lucha announced that the change will come into force on April 19, 2021. From this point in time, people in the said federal state who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will no longer be subject to the obligation to test and quarantine. So there will be some relief. All Covid vaccines that are approved in the EU are recognized.
