The Bahamas lifted the corona-related entry guidelines on September 26th. This means that people who have not been vaccinated no longer have to submit a negative test result, only if they have symptoms, a PCR test is required.

So far, only people who could prove a full corona vaccination were allowed to enter the Bahamas without further conditions. All other visitors had to show a negative PCR or antigen test, which could have been carried out no more than three days before departure. The regulations have been significantly relaxed since the beginning of this week: Regardless of the vaccination status, it is no longer necessary to submit a test notification; only people with COVID-19 symptoms have to undergo a PCR test upon arrival and isolate if the result is positive. Unvaccinated tourists are also obliged to submit a questionnaire on their health every day of their stay, as Check24 reports.

From October 1st, the obligation to wear a mouth and nose protector in most indoor public spaces will also be largely abolished. From next Saturday, the mask requirement in the Bahamas will only apply in medical facilities, nursing homes and schools.
