Yesterday, the Bahamas abolished the test requirement for fully vaccinated people entering the country. Only unvaccinated people over the age of two then have to show a negative PCR or antigen test.

At the same time, there is no longer any obligation to apply for a Travel Health Visa in advance. This applies regardless of the vaccination status, but the other regulations distinguish between vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. In future, a negative corona test will be required from all people over the age of two who have not had a corona vaccination; rapid PCR and antigen tests will be accepted. Vaccinated travelers, on the other hand, only have to show proof of vaccination. The abolition of test requirements and the abolition of the health visa are intended to reduce the bureaucratic hurdles for travelers and promote the recovery of the travel industry.
