The Bahamas changed their entry requirements with effect from January 7, 2022. Fully vaccinated people no longer need to present a negative RT-PCR test. Antigen findings are now also accepted. The same applies to children up to a maximum of 11 years of age who currently do not need a vaccination to enter the country.

In addition, all travelers - whether recovered, vaccinated or unvaccinated - must complete a rapid antigen test on site. The only exceptions are people who will be in the Bahamas for less than 48 hours. The findings that must be submitted must not be more than 72 hours old. The rapid test previously required on the fifth day after entry will no longer be necessary for vaccinated persons and children up to 11 years of age.

People who are not or not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must present a negative PCR test. The Bahamas accepts the NAAT, RNA-PCR, RT-PCR and TMA test procedures. The findings must not be older than 48 hours. Depending on the place of origin, a quarantine may have to be started.
