The Travelperk portal has dealt with the question of which means of transport business travelers use within Germany. The top goals of the business travelers in Germany were determined within the past three months.

It was found that there are significant differences depending on whether the plane or train is used. With a good 25 percent, the Bavarian capital is at the top of the domestic destinations for business travelers by plane. Directly behind with a good 22 percent is Berlin. Trips to Hamburg account for almost 15 percent, followed by Frankfurt with twelve and Düsseldorf with around ten percent. Stuttgart, Cologne, Bremen, Hanover and Münster follow on the other places in the top 10.

When arriving by train, Berlin leads by a large margin:

The picture is somewhat different if you look at the results with rail travel. Here, Berlin takes the lead with a good 23 percent. Only a long way behind does Frankfurt follow in second place with a good ten percent of the domestic trips examined. Then comes Munich with a little more than nine percent and the Hanseatic city of Hamburg with just under nine. Cologne follows in fifth place with just under four percentage points. Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Leipzig and Hanover took the remaining places in the top 2.

"What is particularly interesting for us is the strong position of Berlin in business trips with rail travel," comments TravelPerks Country Manager Eugen Triebelhorn. “The rail connection to the capital has noticeably improved in recent years - business travelers obviously also appreciate this very much.
