The travel warning from the Republic of Austria for the Balearic Islands has been in effect since midnight. As a result, returnees now have to present a negative corona test or have to do it within 48 hours. As long as there is no negative PCR result, you are in quarantine, but for a maximum of ten days.

While at Salzburg Airport free corona tests are temporarily offered for those returning from the Balearic Islands, at Vienna Airport you still have to pay an impressive 120 euros yourself. In the city of Mozart, in order to take advantage of the free offer, the boarding pass of the flight on which you just landed must be presented.

Viennese do not have to be tested at the airport for 120 euros, but can also take advantage of the free services offered by the City of Vienna. This is not only available to travelers returning from risk areas, but also when returning from non-risk areas or from within Germany. The result of the PCR test was sent by email from the evaluating laboratory in PDF format in German and English after just a few hours (the following day).
