At Barcelona Airport, a Transavia France Boeing 737-800 made an unwelcome acquaintance with a ground vehicle. Apparently the driver forgot to put on the handbrake, so it set off on its own and stayed under the plane.
The incident happened around 21:00 p.m. on Monday evening. The plane was at Barcelona Airport and was supposed to fly from there to Paris-Orly. However, this did not happen because a ground vehicle crashed into the Boeing 737-800.
According to local media reports, the driver forgot to put on the handbrake before getting out. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle began to roll and got stuck in the rear fuselage area. The exact extent of the damage is still unclear and is currently being determined by technical specialists.
