The airline Air Algérie plans to connect Basel-Mulhouse Airport to Constantine and Algiers from the beginning of November 2022. The Boeing 737-600 aircraft type, which has now become rare, is also to be used selectively.

From November 1, 2022, the Algerian carrier wants to fly three times a week between Constantine and Basel. The connection is to be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. According to Air Algérie, both Boeing 737-600 and -800 are used as aircraft. Initially, the intention is to fly this route in the 2022/23 winter timetable, but if there is sufficient demand, it can be imagined flying all year round.

A day later, Air Algérie starts a non-stop connection between Algiers and Basel. This should be served once a week. The medium-haul Boeing 737-800 jets are scheduled to fly between the two cities on Wednesday. If it is successful, the frequencies will be increased.
