A corona test center is now available at Basel-Mulhouse Airport, where passengers can be tested using both antigen and PCR. This is operated by a French laboratory and is located on the French side of the departure hall (level 3, hall 1).

For the time being, the offer is reserved for arriving and departing passengers and people employed at the airport. It is currently planned that the test station will be in operation for at least four months, but Basel Airport announced that an extension is possible depending on the development of the situation.

So-called RT-PCR is carried out in the area of PCR testing. To this knocked recently in Vienna the low-cost airline Ryanair and thus caused a lot of media vortex, as many passengers were not carried.

People who have French health insurance do not have to pay anything for the tests at Basel Airport. The insurance company pays the costs directly. All other people have to pay 40 euros or 45 Swiss francs for the rapid antigen test or 100 euros or 110 Swiss francs for the RT-PCR test. Appointments can be made with this link .
