A few days ago, the new Condor managing director Peter Gerber was elected to head the Federal Association of German Airlines. In this role he also succeeds Ralf Teckentrup, who has retired.

The BDF represents the interests of the German airlines Condor, Eurowings, Tuifly, Lufthansa Cargo and Lufthansa and their subsidiaries. When he took office, Gerber warned of the recent sharp increase in location costs in the Federal Republic of Germany. These would be a competitive disadvantage. He also warns politicians that the recovery from the consequences of the corona pandemic would progress much more slowly in Germany than in other EU countries. This would come at the expense of connectivity.
