During the Christmas holidays in Berlin and Brandenburg, the airport company expects a slight increase in travel at BER Airport.

In the period from December 22, 2022 to January 3, 2023, around 600.000 passengers are expected to take off and land at the airport, as the company announced in a broadcast. On the peak days, at the beginning and end of the holidays, up to 60.000 passengers per day are expected in both terminals - in the autumn holidays there were more than 80.000 travelers on the peak days. A total of 122 destinations in 50 countries are served from the German capital. Popular destinations are the Mediterranean countries of Spain, Italy, Turkey and Portugal. Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia are in demand for winter holidays. When it comes to cities, flights to London, Paris and Copenhagen top the list. Doha and New York are popular long-haul destinations.
