The new Berlin airport gets its first regular S-Bahn connection. The trains have been going directly to the airport since Monday.
At rush hour in the morning and in the late afternoon, the S9 S-Bahn now runs every 20 minutes to Terminals 1 and 2, as the aviation magazine Aero reports. From Thursday, the line will run at the same rhythm throughout the day, and the S45 will also start traffic to BER at the same time. The previous Schönefeld Airport will also remain as a station as Terminal 5 of BER. The airport opens on October 31.
