Berlin: Egyptair increases Cairo flights in winter 2022/23

Star Alliance member Egyptair is increasing its presence at the German airport Berlin-Brandenburg in the 2022/23 winter flight schedule. In future, the German capital will be connected to Cairo six times a week.

Egyptair will increase the number of weekly rotations to six effective November 2, 2022. This means that there will be daily flights between the two capitals in the 2022/23 winter flight schedule, except on Mondays. Medium-haul jets of the Airbus A320neo type are used as aircraft.

As things stand, there is an exception on December 24, 2022. According to Egyptair, an Airbus A330-300 will be used on the Berlin route on this day. The carrier justifies this with particularly high demand around Christmas. It is currently still unclear whether there will be further widebody deployments on this route in the 2022/23 winter period.
