Norse opens the USA winter flight schedule 2022/23 from Berlin before the first flight

The Berlin capital's airport BER, which has often been shaken by the media, receives a good leap of faith. Although not a single scheduled flight of the new transatlantic low-cost airline "Norse" from Norway has taken off from the airport in the German capital region, the winter flight schedule was released for booking this weekend.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners fly 3 times a week from BER in the direction of New York (JFK) and Los Angeles. The aircraft, which are on average only 4 years old and were all originally delivered to Norwegian, operate in 2-class seating with space for a total of around 330 passengers. Since the 787-9 has different seating, the number of seats can vary on the aircraft used.

While the "premium" area comes with 2-3-2 seating and up to 56 seats, the regular economy class will have a 3-3-3 configuration with, normally, 282 seats, depending on the configuration but also over 300 economy seats installed, which comes with a smaller premium area.

Norse starts with entry-level prices to New York from €160 (one-way) and without luggage, while to Los Angeles from €189 (one-way) without luggage in the cheapest available fare class. While the American Star Alliance member “United” is also on its way from Berlin to New York, although the United Hub Newark/EWR is served here, the US west coast with the destination Los Angeles is served unrivaled by Norse.

As mentioned above, New York's John F. Kennedy Airport is currently served on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while departures to LA are scheduled for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. With the exception of Monday, a Norse 787 Dreamliner will take off almost every day from BER with the destination USA.

The first flight from Berlin is planned for next month on August 17th to New York and on August 19th to Los Angeles. While the New York connection will be reduced by 4 connections per week (planned daily in the summer flight schedule), Norse will remain stable with the connection to the West Coast and will offer 3 flights a week in summer and winter.

The currently planned winter flight schedule from Berlin:
