Scammers and fraudsters have found a new field of activity due to various entry registrations that must be made online in various countries in advance. The German Federal Police expressly warns against rip-offs who use fake sites to fill out entry forms for Germany against payment.

In this context, it should be expressly pointed out that forms that have to be completed on the Internet for entry into various countries must only be completed on the official homepages of the respective authority. There are no fees for this and at the latest when, for example, the credit card number is requested, passengers should become suspicious. Payment information is expressly not requested on the PLF and immigration forms.

The police headquarters in Kempten draws attention to a case in a media statement: A passenger who had arrived in Memmingen paid 29 euros on a website for an "entry registration", which, according to the federal police, did not exist. Such incidents are said to accumulate at various border crossings and airports.
