Billa Dubai slices: Is it worth it?

Dubai chocolate slices are now available in Vienna, for example, at the Rewe subsidiary Billa for 5,98 euros per unit. Can they meet expectations given the price?

Each pack contains two pieces. The ingredients include cream, whipped cream, pistachio paste and more. The crunchy base structure is pleasant, not overly sweet and consists of a thin chocolate sponge base about 5 mm thick, a 1 cm layer of angel hair, another 1 cm layer of chocolate mousse with whipped cream and a glaze made of pistachios and chocolate.

The dominant flavor of pistachio can be found in the 1 cm thick layer of angel hair and pistachios. The careful selection of high-quality ingredients and the balanced composition are evidence of well-thought-out quality. All in all, I would briefly describe this outstanding product as a delicate angel hair pasta creation with a delicious pistachio cream on a wafer-thin chocolate sponge base and a fine chocolate glaze. This remarkable creation deserves an unreserved recommendation and is definitely worth enjoying.

Carpe Diem.
