The regional airline Binter Canaris is increasingly moving to the mainland: The carrier has announced the addition of six new non-stop connections from Las Palmas. These are to be served from July 2021.

From Gran Canaria there are also plans to travel to Toulouse, Marseille, Lille, Turin, Venice and Tarragona in the future. Between the Canary Islands and mainland Spain, ten routes are to be served in the summer of 2021. Company boss Rodolfo Núñez describes the announced expansion as an important step in the company's history.

“This new international leap poses a major challenge for Binter in a very complex context, but we continue to rely on the connectivity of the entire archipelago of the eight islands according to the strategic plan we worked out before the pandemic. If everything goes well and according to plan, we will continue to set more frequencies and perhaps more destinations from both Tenerife and Gran Canaria without excluding direct flights to or from other islands. The important thing is to sell all the Canary Islands as a whole, ”said the Binter managing director.
