The Spanish regional airline Binter Canaris announced the order for four ATR72-600s. These are intended to replace previous models of the turboprop aircraft.

The fixed order for four copies was confirmed at the Dubai Air Show. Furthermore, Binter Canaris secured the option for another ATR72-600. The company stated that the new additions will replace the previous model ATR72-500.

“The ATR 72-600 has become our flagship and, with 23 in our fleet, it will form the backbone of air connectivity in the Canary Islands after these deliveries are complete. This five aircraft deal is a significant investment, but it will ensure that the many benefits, such as supporting local businesses and making transportation easier for locals and tourists alike, remain in place, ”said Rodolfo Nunez, President of Binter Canarias.
