After difficult years, the aircraft manufacturer Boeing delivered significantly more passenger and cargo jets in 2022.

A total of 480 aircraft found their way to customers, around 41 percent more than in the previous year, according to the online portal Aero. However, Boeing was still well behind the world's largest aircraft manufacturer Airbus from Europe, which had already surpassed this mark in autumn. Meanwhile, the US aircraft manufacturer brought in new orders for 935 machines. After deducting cancellations, there were still 774.

Above all, Boeing got more medium-haul jets of the type 737 MAX from the yard, which after two fatal crashes from March 2019 were not allowed to take off worldwide for a long time. This model series alone accounted for 387 deliveries. Boeing delivered 787 of the long-haul 31 “Dreamliner” jet, more than twice as many as in the previous year after a more than year-long delivery freeze expired in August.
