The Boeing executive who exposed quality problems with the Dreamliner series was found dead in a hotel parking lot. The US authorities are currently assuming it was suicide.

John Barnett acted as a whistleblower and made glaring deficiencies in the Boeing 787 series public. The 62-year-old man worked for the US aircraft manufacturer for around 2017 years until 32. The death occurred in the parking lot of a hotel in Charleston. Spicy in this context: a court case was due to start shortly, in which he should have testified. According to the police, it is currently believed to be a suicide.
