The state of Brandenburg set up a vaccination center in Terminal 5-M at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. The BER company provides an area of around 1.300 square meters. Terminal C at the former Tegel Airport is used for the mobile vaccination teams. A vaccination center has now been set up in Terminal D.

“Vaccination is an essential step on the way to revitalizing travel and air travel. As an airport company, we support the vaccination campaigns of the state governments of Berlin and Brandenburg as much as we can. Because everyone knows the way to the airport and BER's Terminal 5 can be easily reached from anywhere in the region, both locations were ideal as vaccination centers, ”said Head of Report Engelbert Lütke Daldrup.

The BER company plans to take Terminal 5 - formerly Schönefeld Airport - offline for at least a year as soon as possible. It will then be decided whether there is still a need or whether it will be permanently abandoned. Terminal 2, located next to the main building, is basically finished, but has not yet been put into operation due to a lack of demand.
